After speaking with business owners and talking about what they need to do to create more jobs, I developed these basic principles to serve as my guide to improve Ohio's economy and job market.

Principle #1 - People need more money.

In order for business to employ more people, they must sell more product.  They can't sell more product if people can't buy it.  Ohio must lower income taxes and other government fees so Ohioans have control of their money and can spend it on goods and services.

Principle #2 - Lower the cost of doing business in Ohio

Business will sell more goods and services if they can keep prices low.  Compliance with government regulations adds cost to goods and services.  We must address the burdens of overregulation to help business control costs and keep prices low.

Principle #3 - People must have the skills Ohio business needs.

Businesses can't hire people without the requisite skills.  Ohioans need the skills that Ohio businesses need.  Our education system must be aligned with the needs of industry.

Principle #4 - Ohio must be the most attractive state for new business

New business can locate anywhere.  Ohio has much to offer, but so do our neighboring states.  In order to create a robust environment for new business we must create a business friendly environment.  That includes Right to Work laws and lower tax rates.
